Bike through Miraflores sightseeing its historic and modern sites, San Isidro, and parks. After a great time, we will have a delectable lunch to reenergize. Following a short rest, it’s time for a 10 minutes extreme activity of paragliding in Lima, feeling a rapid heartbeat as you fly over Miraflores and the Pacific Ocean taking in breathtaking vistas.  After an exhilarating time, you will have time at leisure to further explore the City of Kings. Later on, our professional chef will meet you in your hotel to start the yummy gourmet tour at night in Lima. Tour the Ballestas Islands in Paracas, observing sea birds. mammals, sea lions, and more. Then take a wild dune buggy ride on the huge desert dunes in Huacachina, Ica, and then try your balance with some sandboarding. Travel through the Sacred Valley of the Incas delving into culture visiting the Pisac ruins and colorful market, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero for a traditional weaving demonstration. Ride your bike to the Maras salt flats and Moray enjoying the thrill and beautiful landscapes. DAY 1WELCOME TO LIMA PERU!

Arrive in Lima, where our View Peru representative will be waiting to welcome you and escort you to the hotel of your choice. On our way, you will receive a briefing of your itinerary. Once you are settled in at your hotel enjoy your first day in Peru at leisure exploring fine restaurants to savor delicious Peruvian cuisine.

DAY 2ADVENTURE CYCLING IN LIMA (B, L,)

Today, set off with your professional guide to the starting point at the Larcomar Mall with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. We will begin cycling from Miraflores to the bohemian district of Barranco, where many artists live. Next, we are off to Chorillos to get acquainted with the fishing village, where you will observe the incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Dip your feet and hands in the calming ocean waters. We head back to Miraflores to explore the Historic center, Huaca Pucllana, parks, and ride through San Isidro and its back streets. Then it’s time for 10 minutes of extreme sport paragliding over Miraflores, and the Pacific Ocean feeling your heartbeat rapidly and experiencing an adrenaline rush. After an action-packed day, you will have free time in Lima.

DAY 3PARACAS BALLESTAS ISLANDS - ICA HUACACHINA SANDBOARDING + DUNE BUGGY (B, L)

We depart Lima, very early in the morning, and drive for about 3.5 hours to Paracas,  the perfect seaside getaway.  Paracas is full of wildlife, lovely beaches, a dramatic desert panorama, and fascinating history. Today you will take a tour of the Ballestas Islands, the poor man`s Galapagos, from your boat sightseeing the rocky islands with their many bird species, mammals, sea lions, penguins, dolphins, and other wildlife. This is truly a nature lover`s paradise.  Then take a stroll along the beach and have an appetizing ceviche lunch. Our next stop is Ica known for its vineyards, huge desert dunes, and interesting history. Walk around the Plaza of Ica before going to Huacachina to begin our adventure. Huacachina is located around a small oasis surrounded by huge rolling sand dunes. Here we will hop onto our dune buggy to experience sheer pleasure riding on the gigantic sand dunes.  Next try some sandboarding on the sand dunes either laying down on your stomach or standing up enjoying the thrill.  After a fun-filled day, it’s time to return to Lima to get well-rested.

DAY 4LIMA - CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (B, L)

In the morning we depart Lima, the City of Kings, with our representative to the Lima airport for your flight to Cusco.  Upon arriving in Cusco,  you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly View Peru Representative, that will introduce you to our professional guide.  Take a scenic drive to the rich Sacred Valley of the Incas, with its picturesque landscapes. Stop at the Awanacancha Llama Farm to see the adorable camelids of, llamas and alpacas, where they get the natural fibers to make sweaters, scarfs, and others. We continue driving passing the town of Pisac and to the Pisac ruins (2972 mt.), which sit on top of a hill overlooking the town. Take pleasure in a walking tour of the Inca ruins which have many terraces, stunning spectacular vistas of its surroundings, the Sun Temple, and water channels.  Continue your hike down to the Pisac market for a walk around the many stalls selling handicrafts, jewelry, paintings, woolen goods made of llama and alpaca, among others. Continue to Urubamba driving along the Vilcanota River (2871 mt.), where you will delight in a delectable Peruvian lunch made of fresh ingredients grown in the Sacred Valley.  Next, we will visit the Inca town of Ollantaytambo that faces town with its stunning terraces, a ceremonial center that sits atop the terraces, royal chamber, and other temples. Then walk around the city admiring the Inca design still present today.  Following, a fantastic day, return to your hotel in the Sacred Valley for some time at leisure.

DAY 5THRIILLING MOUNTAIN BIKING MORAY & MARAS (B, L)

Today we will take an exciting bike ride through the impressive landscapes of the Andes Mountains visiting Moray and the Maras Salt flats.  Mountain bike on flat and hilly terrains passing villagers and stunning mountain views until reaching the Moray circular depressions that resemble a large amphitheater.  Take a look at the tremendous deep bowl-like circular terraces thought to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory. Enjoy a delectable picnic lunch in peaceful countryside surroundings. Now we will ride downhill on dirt roads admiring the fabulous scenery and going around the mountainside for the first breathtaking vistas of the white Maras salt flats. Snap some incredible pictures before proceeding to the salt mines. Fix your eyes on the marvelous vision of the snow-like salt flats sprawled in the center of the Andes Mountains. Sometimes you will see the locals harvesting the salt by hand without using machinery. Thereafter, we will leave the bikes and continue by transport to the charming Andean village of Chinchero (3765 mt.) with stunning views.  Visit the ruins, small chapel and observe a traditional colorful weaving demonstration using natural dyes made of insects, flowers, plants, and others.  Return to your hotel for relaxation.

DAY 6FULL DAY RIVER RAFTING ADVENTURE CUSIPATA (B, L)

After an energizing breakfast, leave your hotel with your guide en route to Cusipata to start our riveting adventure river rafting. Once we arrive in Cusipata and get settled in, you will receive a safety briefing and introduction into rafting by our professional rafting guide. After gearing up, it`s time to begin the river journey, running class ll rapids. There will also be Hydrospeeds and Inflatable kayaks for you to use.  Later after an electrifying time, enjoy lunch at the Cusipata Lodge. For the more daring you can zipline across the river experiencing a rush of adrenaline.  Thereafter, return to your hotel to enjoy the hotel amenities and to relax

DAY 7 EXCITEMENT HIKING THE SHORT INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU (B, BL, D)

We start off from our hotel in the Sacred Valley with our well-versed guide to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Km104 (2170mt.). Now the adventure starts hiking to the Inca ruins of Chachabamba (2178mt..) an important religious site located in the tropical forest. On our walk, you will appreciate pretty colorful orchids, various species of birds in the lush cloud forest. Then we come upon the spectacular Inca archaeological site of Wiñaywayna (2650mt.) translates to, forever young, thought to have been of religious and ceremonial importance built on a steep hillside overlooking the Urubamba River. A perfect spot near the ruins to have a delicious box lunch with amazing surroundings. After lunch, we continue our hike upward on steep steps for about 1.5 hours until we reach Sun Gate (Inti Punku) (2750mt.) and be rewarded with the first astonishing views of the glorious Machu Picchu. Take some time to snap a few photos of this fabulous site. Following, this incredible vision we will hike down to Machu Picchu (2430mt.) and continue to Aguas Calientes by shuttle bus. Our guide will walk you to your hotel where you will get well rested for tomorrow`s remarkable tour of Machu Picchu.

DAY 8 MACHU PICCHU TOUR - HUAYNA PICCHU HIKE -CUSCO (B, L)

After a delicious breakfast, take a shuttle bus ride with your guide, for 30 minutes to the epic Machu Picchu (2430 mt.). Fix your eyes on the majestic site of Machu Picchu with its grandeur. Stroll with your well-versed guide through the Citadel as he gives magnificent theories behind the genius structure of Machu Picchu. Walk by the many temples and corridors admiring the genius stonework, feeling the positive energy left behind by the Incas. Once you have fully relished in its beauty and taken many perfect photos, we take another trail to the entrance of Huayna Picchu. Hike up a daring narrow steep trail to the top of Huayna Picchu to see spectacular views of its surroundings.  Later, exit the park with your guide and enjoy an exquisite lunch in Aguas Calientes.  Thereafter, take the train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station where you will be met by our View Peru Representative who will take you to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 9 TOUR OF THE INCA CAPITAL CUSCO (B,)

After an appetizing breakfast, our professional guide will meet you at your hotel to start a fabulous tour of the Inca city of Cusco.
Cusco is the oldest city in the Americas and was ruled by the Killke civilization from 900 AD to 1200 AD before the arrival of the Incas.  After the conquest of the Incas, Cusco became the capital of the Inca Empire.
Our tour begins with a stroll to the Plaza de Armas (main square) on its cobblestoned streets to visit the Gothic-Renaissance style Cathedral built on top of a sacred Inca temple using stones from Sacsayhuaman.  Continue through the narrow streets to the Qoricancha Sun Temple, a marvelous shrine that was built with religious prophecies during the Inca apogee.  Next, we continue with a short drive up above Cusco taking in the lovely scenery. Fix your eyes on the impressive Inca complex of Sacsayhuaman with its huge boulders and magnificent presence. As you cross its massive opening you are in awe with the gigantic stones affixed together so perfectly. Our professional guide will provide the many theories behind the Incan site, which was initially built by the Killke culture and was expanded by the Incas. Next, we will come upon another mysterious site, Qenqo which means labyrinth, which has subterranean passages in its interior. It is also believed this was a ceremonial place where the Incas used to possibly embalm their dead and make sacrifices.  Then visit the Tambomachay Incas Baths before returning to Cusco to have a flavorful lunch in a fine restaurant. After lunch, you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure to further explore the enchanting city of Cusco.

DAY 10 DAY AT LEISURE IN CUSCO (B)

DAY 11GOODBYE CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO -AMAZON TAMBOPATA EXPERIENCE (B, L, D)

After an exquisite breakfast at your hotel, your View Peru Representative will take you to the airport for your flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado to start your incredible journey to the Amazon. Upon arrival at the Puerto Maldonado airport, our staff will welcome you and transfer you by bus to the port to embark on a boat ride of 2.5 hours crossing the Malinowski River, going deeper in the Peruvian Amazon leaving the bustling city behind. Catch spectacular sights of capybara, caiman, geese, macaws, and other wildlife. Upon arrival at the remote Tambopata Eco-Lodge, get acquainted with our staff and get settled in your lodge facing the jungle, surrounded by the best wildlife possible in the Peruvian Amazon. In the afternoon, accompanied by your guide, take a 3 to 5 km hike in the pristine rainforest to explore Tambopata and observe the Howler Monkey and Dusky Titi Monkey among other wildlife. Thereafter, return to your lodge to enjoy its amenities and a luscious dinner prepared with fresh organic ingredients from the region. After dinner, you can opt to take a night hike in the jungle, when most of the mammals are active.

 

 

DAY 12MACAW CLAY LICK IN TAMBOPATA (B, L, D)

Today we start out at dawn when the clay lick is most active. 

Very early in the morning, we set off to see the extraordinary macaw clay lick, where you will spot many macaws and hundreds of parrots gathering on this large river bank. Fifty meters from the cliff, observe green-winged, scarlet, and blue-and-gold macaws and several species of smaller parrots descending in, to ingest the clay. Return to the lodge to have a delightful breakfast. Afterward, set off on a 5k hike in the rainforest that is surrounded by large trees intersected by creeks and ponds. Amidst, the ceibas, and shihuahuacos, we will go in search of monkeys, squirrels, Brown Capuchin, and Spider Monkeys as well as peccaries. We are nearby the Tambopata Research Center. Next, we will go have an exquisite lunch and unwind before restarting our jungle exploration. Start off 10 minutes from our lodge to explore the island with a small pond to spot waterfowl such as Muscovy duck, sunbittern, and hoatzin, woodpeckers, oropendolas, flycatchers, and parakeets.
Following a wonderful time, we will return to our lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner.  After dinner, you may join a night lecture provided by scientists regarding the conservation of wildlife and the Peruvian Amazon.

DAY 13EXPLORING THE PERUVAIN AMAZON (B, L, D)

Today we further explore the peaceful entrancing Peruvian jungle, hiking and making sure not to step on the army of leaf-cutter ants. We will take the Rainforest Master Hike, with our Tambopata Research Center specialized guide, who is very well-versed in everything to know about the Amazon. Our guide will spot the tiniest bird hiding in a canopy, to the most elusive wildlife and eccentric plants. Observe a hypnotizing colorful sunset over the calm Amazon jungle. Now it’s time for a lovely Amazonian dinner surrounded by heavenly sounds and nature.

DAY 14PUERTO MALDONADO TO LIMA (B)

It`s time to say farewell to Tambopata, Peru as your Amazon expedition comes to an end.
After a divine breakfast, retrace your route back by boat, and bus to the Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight to Lima.
