Day 1 - Greetings, from Peru!

Your journey begins in Lima, known as the City of Kings. Upon landing at Limas airport a host from View Peru will welcome you warmly and ensure a transfer to your hotel. Take some time to relax and settle in after your travels preparing yourself for the thrilling experiences that lie ahead.

Day 2 - Fly to Cusco – Interact with Alpacas and Vicuñas and Discover Pisac Ruins (Breakfast)

After breakfast, our friendly View Peru host will pick you up from your hotel and ensure you get to the airport safely for your flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Once you arrive, you’ll head into the stunning Sacred Valley to help you acclimatize. Your first stop is the Awanakancha Living Museum, where you’ll get to meet llamas, vicuñas, and alpacas while learning about traditional weaving techniques.

After spending some time with these adorable Andean animals, you’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at a charming local spot in Pisac town.

Energized, tackle the 2.5-hour climb to Warmiwañusca Pass (4215 meters), also known as Dead Woman’s Pass. Celebrate your achievement with breathtaking views before descending for two hours to Pacaymayo Ravine (3500 meters), your campsite for the night.

The trail zigzags down steps through thick vegetation to the Inca ruins of Wiñaywayna (2650 meters). Before reaching the Sun Gate, take a special moment to toast your achievement. Upon arrival, you’ll get your first breathtaking glimpse of the majestic Machu Picchu. After reaching the iconic site, enjoy lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel.
