Suggestions & Travel Notes for Your Journey

  • Altitude & Acclimatization
Cusco sits at high altitude, so we recommend taking it easy upon arrival. Your first day is intentionally designed to allow your body to adjust comfortably while you ease into the Andean rhythm.
  • Physical Activity Level
This journey is designed to be enjoyable and accessible. While Machu Picchu involves walking along stone paths and gentle inclines, all experiences are paced according to your comfort and guided privately.
  • Weather & Packing
The Andes can present varied conditions throughout the day. We suggest packing layers, including light clothing for sunny moments and warmer options for cooler mornings and evenings.
  • Optional Experiences
For those seeking an extra touch of adventure, hikes such as Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain can be arranged in advance, subject to availability. Your travel designer will be happy to assist.
  • Travel Insurance
We highly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical assistance, trip interruptions, and unexpected events, ensuring complete peace of mind throughout your journey.

Responsible Travel & Cultural Respect

  • Thoughtful Travel, Minimal Impact
Each experience within your journey is carefully designed to respect the natural and cultural environments of the Andes. We prioritize low-impact travel practices that help preserve these extraordinary landscapes for future generations.
  • Honoring Local Culture
Traveling through Cusco and the Sacred Valley means engaging with living traditions. We encourage a respectful approach to local customs, heritage, and communities, allowing for meaningful and authentic connections along the way.
  • Supporting Local Communities
Your journey directly contributes to the well-being of local communities. From boutique accommodations to regional guides and artisans, every element is thoughtfully selected to support local livelihoods and sustainable tourism.
  • A More Conscious Way to Explore
Luxury today is not only about comfort, but also about traveling with awareness. This journey reflects a balance between refined experiences and responsible choices that honor both people and place.

Activity level:Activity Level: Moderate & Comfortable

This journey is designed to offer a balanced combination of cultural exploration and relaxed pacing.

While some walking is involved, particularly during your visit to Machu Picchu and in historical areas of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, all activities are conducted at a comfortable rhythm and fully adapted to your preferences.

We had a once in a lifetime experience with View Peru!!! I can’t say enough good things and reflecting on the experience now, it still seems surreal. In addition to the epic experience of the hikes, scenery, and Machu Picchu, everything we needed, every little detail was thought of and then some. It was a luxury camping, and cultural experience that I highly, highly recommend and want to do again!
