  • Please consider that our prices from 2 people onward are based on double and triple accommodation, if you would like to have a single tent then the supplement will be of $ 489.00 per person.

  • Train stations and train schedules are subject to availability, also due to rainy season Poroy train station is closed from January to April of each year.

  • The walking sticks are not included, but if you prefer we can arrange to provide you a pair of basic poles (Standard Brand) without any charges; you just need to ask in advance to your travel specialist.

  • If you would like to climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain, please take in mind that is an unguided hike, require an additional cost and involve starting the hike at 03:00 am on the 4th day. Itinerary: Choquequirao Trek

Day 1 Cusco - Saywite - Chiquiska (L, D)

A great new adventure for today, different landscapes, incredible experiences will be with you since this day

After having breakfast at your Cusco hotel (or box breakfast), our expert guide will welcome you and transport you towards the northwest. After 3 hours we will stop at Curahuasi town (2688 m. / 8818.9 ft.) for minute purchases. Continuing our journey, visit the Saywite site (3630 m. / 11909.5 ft.) place of an enigmatic stone. Following our route and after another hour, we will reach Capuliyoc (2956 mts/9698.2 ft) which is our starting point and where we will have our luxury picnic lunch before the trek.

Start with spectacular views of the Apurimac valley and Padreyoc snow capped mountain (5771 m. / 18933.7 ft.) As we keep descending through a zigzag slope, there will be a warmer atmosphere. Afterwards, reach the first luxury campsite at Chiquiska (1890 m. / 6200.8 ft.) located in the Apurimac canyon. Before dinner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned hot shower and then, our massage tent is ready for a session of relaxing massages that will ease your body. Then, it is time to visit our dining tent for a fantastic gourmet dinner prepared with organic food. After dinner, your tent will be waiting for you to enjoy your first night in your bedroom tent.

Day 2 Chiquiska – Choquequirao Campsite (B, L, D)

New efforts, new experiences, magic views and then a deserve relax

After a delicious breakfast, begin the second day hike descending 1 hour towards the Apurimac river and crossing Playa Rosalina (1490 m. / 4888.5 ft) by a suspension bridge.

Then, ascend for 2 hours until reaching Santa Rosa (2200 m. / 7217.8 ft) for a short break to recover energies and enjoy the river views. Continue ascending for another 3 hours appreciating a great variety of vegetation and birds. Upon our arrival to Marampata (2900 m. / 9514.4 ft.) our energetic and luscious lunch is ready for us with impressive views of the lower ruins. Following, a steady stroll for 3 hours towards the luxury Choquequirao campsite (2900 m. / 9514.4 ft.) very close to the archaeological site.

In the afternoon, it is time to enjoy a 30-40 mins yoga session led by our expert therapists. Then and for a second time, our hot shower and massage and dinner so you can share your fantastic photos with your guide and then relish in your cozy bedroom tent.

Day 3 Choquequirao Campsite – Choquequirao – Pacchayoc– Choquequirao Campsite (B, L, D)

Find out how to get to the ancient citadel in Cusco that rivals Machu Picchu in architecture and grandeur.

Visit Choquequirao during all this day. After our breakfast, hike an easy 1 hour to reach the archaeological site. Admire the rear view of Choquequirao (3100 m. / 10170.6 ft.) and distant perspectives encircled by grandiose mountains and the river valley below. Upon arrival, our well-informed guide will explain about the history of this amazing citadel.

Accompanied by your guide you will visit the different sectors, terraces, sacred temples, astronomical observatories, hydraulic channels and much more. After touring the site, head back to the campsite to have lunch.. Then, it is time to visit Pacchayoc, an enchanting waterfall and terrace. Return to our campsite, relish with a hot shower and a well-deserved massage session before the gourmet dinner featuring refreshing beverages featuring Choquequirao scenery.

Day 4 Choquequirao Campsite - Marampata - Chiquiska (B, L, D)

The descents begin, the spectacular views and different sensations continue

Another amazing day starts with a very early breakfast with privileged views. Begin the return trek through the same path.Hike for 2 hours until Marampata (2900 m. / 9514.4 ft.) and 2 more hours until Santa Rosa (2200 m. / 7217.8 ft) to have a short break. The descent is easier and entertaining as you can seek for endemic birds and flora characteristic of the area as you walk. Two hours of descent later, reach Playa Rosalina (1490 m. / 4888.5 ft.) where we will have our well-organized staff waiting with our gourmet lunch with nice views of the Apurimac river.

After our delicious lunch and recovering our strength, ascend 2.5 hours ascent towards our next luxury campsite, Chiquiska (1890 m. / 6200.8 ft.) we will have amazing views of the canyon and then receive our outstanding services such as hot shower, massage sessions and sumptuous dinner before sleeping.

Day 5 Chiquiska – Capuliyoc - Cusco (B, L)

Enjoy this last ascent accompanied by spectacular views and take in your memory a trip like none

Wake up with a magical sunrise over the canyon and have our energizing breakfast to continue. Climb uphill towards our starting trekking point for about six hours, with tremendous views of snow capped peak Padreyoc and our last glimpse of the Apurimac canyon. As we ascend, we will notice the change in vegetation and altitude. Reach Capuliyoc (2956 m. / 9698.2 ft.) our tasteful lunch is ready for us. Being this the last time with all of our crew, share a final toast with them to honor their efforts. Salud!

Then, you will be transferred in our private transportation back to Cusco. Along this 5 hours ride share your experiences and impressions with your guide. Finally, and after this enlightening adventure, arrive at your Cusco hotel by 19:00 pm.
