You have to be ready to live an unforgettable visit to Peru. And the fact is that Peru is an incredible country. Full of culture, archeology, Inca, colonial and modern history; enigmatic places, hidden corners, wonderful colors, tasty flavors with a feast of foods. Truly Peru has so much that it is difficult to describe this wonderful country.
How is Peru?
It is one of the five most biodiverse countries in the world. It is a country of contrasts. With lakes, mountain ranges, canyons, large rivers, customs, food, drinks, rites and living cultures. Each area of Peru is unique
And the Peruvian People?
In Peru there are beautiful people, always friendly and smiling. Peruvians are very friendly and helpful, which makes visitors feel at home from the very first moment. This attitude is reflected in the way they welcome tourists and in their interest in showing the best of their culture and traditions.
Lima, the capital
Steeped in history, Peru’s capital city of Lima, is enveloped by beautiful colonial vestiges bestowed upon the city by the Spanish. Once known as the City of Kings, Lima is now a sprawling metropolis that is flanked by picturesque hills and valleys, as well as pristine beaches that outline the Pacific Ocean. Lima is fun, incredible restaurants with the best food in the world with gastronomic tours, it is bike rides, it is a diversity of museums and churches, it is adventure and laughter, Lima is beautiful
Peru has rainforests?
There is a great jungle bathed by the Amazon River with its incredible variety of flora and fauna, its lodges made especially for your comfort and pleasure, it’s boats plying its waters and its special flavors. This is a route that should be taken into account in 2024.
Enigmatic places?
In the south of Lima, almost 5 hours away by land, there are giant lines drawn in the ground. Traditionally some of the hypotheses conjectured that the Nazca Lines were a great astronomical calendar, other experts believed they were religious figures and some ufologists believed they were landing strips for extraterrestrial spacecraft. Unlike such structures as the Great Pyramid of Giza, the real mystery of the Nazca Lines is not how they were made, but their purpose. It is almost inconceivable that humans would have spent so much time and exerted so much energy to produce a mere “decorative” land art. This incredible place plus the Paracas National Reserve, make the near south of Lima, a fixed destination to visit.
Colonialism and a very deep canyon
Arequipa
The legendary White City, where its noble history can be felt in the air, beneath the eternal watchful gaze of its volcanoes. Arequipa is dominated by its volcanoes. This is apparent in the walls of its streets, buildings and churches; in the wonderful geography that has created a fertile valley and one of the world’s deepest canyons. This is a place you won’t want to leave, thanks to its unique cuisine, its history, and its marvelous cordiality. Also, here you can find one of the world’s deepest canyons: Colca Canyon, viewing points and thermal waters; rafting, climbing and trekking; observation of condors and other typical highland animals in their natural habitat, including alpacas, vizcachas and pumas. The perfect setting for extreme sports
Titicaca Lake
The highest navigable lake in the world is an extraordinary spectacle wherever one looks. The lake is surrounded by reed beds and dotted with many islands, each of which has its own unique history.
Taquile, Amantani and the floating Uros islands offer the opportunity to experience directly the traditions and customs of communities that have learned to make the most of their surroundings and live in harmony with nature.
Cusco
And we reached the navel of the world as is known Cusco. It is a charm and a pleasure to talk about this city and its surroundings. Cusco is history, a lot of culture; it is archeology, it is the Inca Trail, it is adventure, it is diverse experiences, it is so much in just a few kilometers. And, we cannot fail to mention, it is the seventh wonder of the modern world, Machu Picchu
Cusco is its own city with so many churches, museums, plazas, handicraft and food markets, bohemian sites, restaurants, bars, discotheques and so much more. Cusco is its southern valley with Tipon, Piquillacta and Andahuaylillas. Its Sacred Valley with Pisac, Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and of course, with the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
