In the morning depart your hotel with our well-versed guide and group or in private en route to the Lake Titicaca shores of Peru, to embark on the boat. You will be hypnotized by the vision of the immensity of Lake Titicaca the highest navigable lake in the world. Our first visit takes us to the Uros floating islands, a masterpiece made by the inhabitants of Totora reeds. The Uros people are thought to be descendants of the first civilization that arrived at Lake Titicaca 3700 years ago. Also, studies have shown that the Uros people have distinct genetic differences in Peru and Bolivia. Delve into the world of the Uros learning of their way of life and taking a stroll around the island and snap many pictures. Optional pay directly: take a short ride on their boats made of Totora reeds. After a wonderful experience with the Uros people, we continue to the island of Amantani, catching striking views of the lovely surroundings of Lake Titicaca. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by our friendly host family in Amantani who will escort us to their home to get settled in. Take a stroll around Amantani, one of the largest lakes at Lake Titicaca, and observe the Amantani locals going about their everyday lives. If you go to the top of the hill you will be able to see a brilliant sunset over the lake. Savor in a local typical dinner prepared from fresh ingredients by your host family. After sharing a delicious meal with your Amantani host family, get dressed in their traditional typical dress, and be prepared to dance and sing with the locals sharing a wonderful cultural experience.
