Here are some of the mobile camp spaces designed by our trekking team to help you rest and recover between hiking days. Unlike a lodge, the entire camp is transported, assembled and dismantled as the expedition progresses.
That distinction is part of what makes luxury on the Inca Trail so operationally complex.

The price depends primarily on party size, service level, camp infrastructure and premium upgrades. A fully private Luxury Inca Trail has a different cost structure from a shared trek because the expedition staff and infrastructure are distributed among far fewer travelers.
Yes. View designs this journey as a private expedition for your party. Archaeological sites, checkpoints and regulated camps remain part of the public Inca Trail system.
The four-day Classic Inca Trail is moderate to challenging. The most demanding day reaches Warmiwañusca at approximately 4,215 m / 13,829 ft. Good fitness and acclimatization are recommended.
View uses proper camping cots with mattresses, pillows and complete bedding rather than standard sleeping mats on the ground.
Private hot-shower infrastructure is incorporated into the View camp experience, subject to the operational conditions of each campsite.
Luxury is our signature high-service expedition. Select introduces greater personalization and premium hospitality. Supreme is our ultra-luxury expression with expanded staffing, wellness and premium journey upgrades.
Distances depend partly on campsite allocation. Most trekking days involve approximately 5–9 hours of walking, with Day 2 generally the most physically demanding. Your final confirmed itinerary will reflect the camps assigned to your departure.
Classic Inca Trail permits are limited. For high-demand travel periods, planning several months in advance provides the best chance of securing your preferred departure date.
There is no fixed number for every departure. The porter structure is calculated according to party size, guest luggage, camp infrastructure and the selected service category.
Dear View team,
My husband and I have so many positive things to say about the 4-day Inca Trail experience that we’ve ended up waiting far too long to write this review!
We booked this trip for our honeymoon and had saved for a long time to complete the Inca Trail in Peru. The team exceeded all our expectations and made the experience truly unforgettable.
We have left a review on TripAdvisor, but we wanted to directly thank Elisban and Sebastian, they were incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and caring. They ensured our safety throughout the trek, checked in with us regularly, and shared their knowledge and passion for the history and culture of Peru in a way that made the journey even more special. The knowledge that they had for the plants/animals etc on the trek blew our minds. I truly will remember them for life.
We would also like to thank the rest of the team, including the chef, the masseuse, and the wonderful staff who carried our belongings. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work and kindness.
The food prepared by the chef high up in the mountains was absolutely incredible, and they even surprised us with the most amazing luna de miel (honeymoon) cake.
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we will cherish the memories forever. Thank you to everyone who made our honeymoon so special.
Best wishes,
Dear View Peru,
Our family returned home to America today—tired, fulfilled, and with hearts overflowing with gratitude. This journey was especially meaningful for our family. My son, Stephen Jr., has now completed the Inca Trail three times. I have had the privilege of completing it twice, and this year my husband, Stephen Sr., proudly completed his very first Inca Trail trek.
The Inca Trail is so much more than a hike. It is a journey of discovery, resilience, and perspective. It teaches you to keep moving when the path is difficult and reminds you that with the right people beside you, even the greatest challenges become possible. The View Peru team embodies that spirit, giving every traveler confidence that they are in the very best hands.
Anthony is an extraordinary leader. He quietly commands every aspect of the journey with confidence, wisdom, and humility. His knowledge of Incan history is remarkable, his respect for the land is inspiring, and his genuine love for Peru and its people shines through in everything he does. It is clear that being an Inca guide is not simply his profession—it is his calling.
Henry joined us for the second time, and once again he impressed us beyond words. He is intelligent, capable, deeply respectful of Mother Earth, and a natural leader. His ability to multitask while making every guest feel cared for is exceptional. It is easy to see why he is so respected by everyone on the trail. Henry has all the qualities to successfully lead groups of any size.
Elisban was new to our family this year, but it didn’t take long for him to understand our love for Peru, its people, and the adventure of the Inca Trail. He is a wonderful gentleman whose kindness and warmth made a lasting impression.
Mari has now walked the trail with me twice and with my son three times. I am proud to call her my friend. She has such a kind heart, a beautiful spirit, and a warmth that makes every day brighter.
To the chef and assistant chef—what an incredible job. Every meal was beautifully prepared and completely different from the last. The meats, fish, vegetables, and cheeses were all outstanding. One suggestion: while visiting a local family-owned cheese shop, I discovered some incredible handcrafted cheeses. I truly believe View Peru should consider incorporating these local cheeses into future meals because they are exceptional. The shop is called El Fresquito.
To the shaman, the restroom attendant, and every single porter—thank you. You are proud Peruvian men who work incredibly hard with grace and humility. You share your culture with genuine pride, and your dedication is something we will never forget. You are an essential part of what makes this experience so extraordinary.
This trip is truly one in a million for our family. Every visit deepens our appreciation for Peru, its history, its culture, and its people. We know we will continue returning because there is always more to learn and more to love.
Thank you once again for creating memories that will stay with us forever. There are countless beautiful places in the world to visit, but Peru will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will always choose Peru.
A special thank you to Anthony for our ATV adventure through Maras and the Sacred Valley. It was an unforgettable experience and the perfect addition to an already extraordinary journey.
Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that I have now completed the Inca Trail for a second time, alongside the people I love most.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this another once-in-a-lifetime experience.
With our deepest gratitude, love, and best wishes,
Stephen Sr.

Unforgettable Inca Trail Experience with the Best Guides!
Hiking the Inca Trail was truly the trip of a lifetime, and what made it so special were our incredible guides: Deyvis, Ruben, and Elisban. What stood out most was how much heart they put into the experience. Their passion for their culture and for the trail was contagious—it felt like we were not just hiking, but also connecting with history in a very personal way. The organization was flawless, the meals exceeded expectations, and every detail was thought through. If you’re thinking about hiking the Inca Trail, do it—and if you’re lucky enough to get guides as incredible as Deyvis, Ruben, and Elisban, it will be one of the best experiences of your life. Highly, highly recommended!
