transformers in peru

To remember, Transformers is a series of American science fiction action films based on
the Transformers franchise which began in the 1980s. Michael Bay has directed the first
five films: Transformers (2007), Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011),
Age of Extinction (2014), and The Last Knight (2017).

From September 7th to 10th, the next edition of the science fiction saga will be held in Peru.
There has been so much interest in the next production; many written media have
mentioned this realization.

Al Día News mentioned: At the conference, it was announced that Peru will become one of
the main locations for the latest film in the successful sci-fi saga, which will also feature
Latin actor Anthony Ramos in the lead role alongside actress Dominique Fishback.
Both producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and director Steven Caple Jr. revealed that the film
will be shot in emblematic Peruvian locations such as Machu Picchu in Cusco and the San
Martin region. Caple Jr. affirmed that Machu Picchu is “a very magical place” and said he
is doing everything possible to be able to work in such a complicated location for such a
shoot.

“I don’t think a film the size of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has ever been made there
before,” said the filmmaker, who was grateful that Peruvian authorities have opened the
doors to film in Machu Picchu.

Also, Today.In.24 mentioned: Since it was announced that the movie “Transformers: Rise
of the Beasts” will be filmed in Peru, movie lovers and fans of the saga have been waiting
for every detail. Now even on social networks, some photos shared on the Facebook page
‘Transformers Peru’ have become viral, where it is revealed that trucks and vehicles that
will be part of the film have already arrived in the port of Callao. According to this page
dedicated exclusively to transformers, the machines will be taken to Cusco and Tarapoto
where this ambitious Hollywood film will be filmed.

Just a month ago Paramount Pictures confirmed that the city of Cusco, specifically Machu
Picchu and Tarapoto are part of the filming of the new saga whose premiere is scheduled
in theaters for June 24, 2022. In this new adventure, the leading role will return with
Optimus Prime, who will have his G1 appearance. In addition, it will show the origins of the
character and how he came to become the leader of the Autobots.

This saga continues to generate great expectations among fans. Since it was announced
that the filming of the film will take place in the Peruvian Andes, more and more has been
known about this mega-production and how it will be developed in the local territory.
This film will take place from September 7 to 10. The production company in charge even
requested authorization for the permanence of a helicopter to move part of the equipment.

It is worth mentioning that, as stated by Darwin Baca, district mayor of Machu Picchu, the
use of spaces will be free. “In between, there is no cost or amount that is being requested.

What is being sought is more the contribution to the reactivation process,” he said. The
mayor indicated that, with the filming, they are seeking to promote the wonder of the world.
Baca stressed that they will insist on the protection of cultural heritage. For this, it will be
essential to use equipment with the advanced technology with which the records will be made
and then edited. “Now those metal arms that were used before for filming are not needed,
we know that now there are cameras with 4k resolution and those will be used in Machu
Picchu,” added the official.
