The Nazca culture is believed to have drawn the majority of the geoglyphs but the Chavin and Paracas that predate them may have also designed some of the Nazca lines. The Nazca lines are located in the desert plains and can only be seen clearly from above in the air. Be in awe catching sight of the mysterious geometric lines etched in the desert of straight lines, trapezoids, rectangles, triangles, and distinct shapes of a hummingbird, spider, and monkey. Nonetheless, the Nazca lines in Peru remain a mystery because no one knows for sure who etched them on the sand and the purpose behind them. Could they have been used to summon UFOs from other planets or used as a landing strip? Who knows? After a fabulous time, return to the town of Nazca and have lunch and explore the city on your own. In the evening we will take you to the bus station for your overnight comfortable bus with reclining seats. (If the afternoon bus schedule returns we will use that one instead)
