This is definitely an adventurous journey to take along your family that includes a high comfort experience. Upon your arrival a View Peru representative will be awaiting to greet you at Lima airport, from where you will be transfer in a comfortable ride to your hotel. Discovering more of this vibrant city, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site by 1991. As we start our visit at the most beautiful colonial part of the city walking by the main square and visiting the highlights such as the cathedral and the San Francisco Convent that shelters the mysterious Catacombs. Your knowledgeable guide will enlighten you on the most relevant history facts and peculiarities. Our next stops will be visiting the most modern and residential parts of the city as we tour around Miraflores and San Isidro. After the tour you will enjoy an exquisite lunch at one of the finest restaurants of Lima.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore and stroll the city on your own, do not miss the opportunity to taste delicious plates in the South America gastronomic capital for your dinner.
Upon arrival in Cusco you will be warmly welcome into Cusco by your guide, then you will be transfer to the Sacred Valley, which has a lower altitude than the city, and we will commence our first adventure. Firstly, we will stop at the town of Pisac as we visit its famous and colorful market. The local bring diverse products to offer such as vibrantly colored woven fabrics and alpaca wool, jewelry, and carved gourds; do not miss on the opportunity to purchase some souvenirs for your loved ones at home.
By the afternoon we will enjoy a delicious lunch made out of local ingredients that had been grown in the Sacred Valley in an exclusive restaurant. Afterwards, we will move towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where an impressive Inca fortress that stands out because of its beautiful terraces, your guide will give you a full explanation about the secrets and facts of the site as you walk through the cobblestone paths.

After an exquisite breakfast, we will pick you up to begin today’s very exciting program as we head to the ranch. We will visit the Salt Mines and village of Maras, and Moray archeological site.
When joining our companions of the day our horse and guide, we will start riding up to reach the Salt mines, there we will able to observe how the salt is hand collected. As the journey continues, we will keep riding up to the village of Maras, where one of the first churches first ever built lays, the San Francisco de Asís church. This will be the perfect spot to enjoy a cozy picnic lunch as the snow-capped mountains draw the perfect picture. Once you have finished lunch, we will ride crossing the streets of Maras, so we can catch on the coat armors sculpted in the stone doorways in house that belonged to various Spanish families in the colonial times. Later, we will ride the horse’s trough the plains to move towards Moray. This impressive site used to be an agricultural laboratory and development center, here we will stop to explore around we heard the interesting explanation of your expert guide. Afterwards it is time to head back to the ranch and culminate the adventure of the day as we will take you back in a private transportation to your hotel for you to relax and rest peacefully.
At 5:30am you will be picked up from your luxury hotel in private transport to take you to the beginning of your alternative Inca Trail trek. You will pass the village of Mollepata (3000m) before heading towards Marcoccasa (3400m) where we will meet your private guides and porters before heading off on the trek. From here our trek begins winding through an amazing valley while surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of Humantay (5217m) and Salkantay (6264m). In the afternoon we will reach your luxury campsite at the scenic site of Soraypampa (3700m). Here you will enjoy a buffet dinner prepared by high class chefs in a spacious dining tent. Along with dinner you will receive champagne and wine to help you unwind from your strenuous day. After dinner you will also be treated a massage and a hot shower. Enjoy your first night sleeping under the tranquility of the Andes’ sky in your cozy, homey tents.
After an early breakfast featuring hot tea and coffee you will begin your second day of trekking towards Machu Picchu. This is a challenging day as you will hike towards the Salkantay Pass (4600m). All day you will have spectacular views of the towering snow covered peak of Salkantay (6264m). As we continue on the trail you will notice an increasing abundance and diversity in lush, colorful vegetation endemic of the area. By the time we get to our campsite at Challway (3000m) you will be enjoying the warm climate of the tropical forest. Tonight you will enjoy a gourmet dinner, wine, and champagne amongst rich greenery, colorful flowers, and unfortunately a good amount of mosquitos, so don’t forget your repellent! As everynight, you will enjoy a massage followed by the only hot showers on the trail.
Following an early, nourishing breakfast, you will begin the most beautiful day of the trek where you will see the region’s magnificent flora and sprawling plantations. Our trek descends into a thick cloud forest that will surround you with orchids, bromelains, and other amazing local flora. After exiting the thick forest, we will come upon a secluded valley filled with expansive coffee, cacao and fruit plantations. Our path takes us through the farming villages of Wiñaypoco (2650m) and La Playa (2100m) where you will encounter local families and get a chance to speak to them and learn about their lifestyle. Tonight we will camp in the warm village of Lay Playa where you will enjoy your last gourmet dinner, massages, and hot showers on the trail
In the morning after breakfast we will follow an uphill trail towards the ruins of Llactapata (2650m). From this site you will have a great view of the distant Machu Picchu Mountain and will be surrounded by lush greenery and bright flora. After enjoying the ruins and the vast view, we will head down to the hydroelectric station (1950m) where the train to Aguas Calientes stops. At the train stop you have the option of taking the train the rest of the way (for an added cost) or finishing the trek to Aguas Calientes (2050m). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes in the late afternoon you will be escorted to your luxury hotel where you will sleep soundly tonight.
Today you will leave your hotel early in order to beat to large crowds of tourists that arrive later in the morning. You will meet your guide at your hotel and they will lead you to the bus up to the ruins of Machu Picchu (2,400m). Upon arriving at the ruins you will get an approximately 2-hour private tour of this amazing Lost City of the Incas. Your informative guide will tell you all about the theories of the purpose of Machu Picchu, the history of the buildings, and about the culture of the ancient Incas.
Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel. After the tour, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to catch your luxury class Hiram Bingham train back to Cusco. On board you will receive a full course dinner, cocktails, and entertainment. Upon arrival back in Cusco you will be picked up at the train station and transferred back to your luxury hotel for the night.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, our guide will take you to discover the streets of Cusco, starting with the beautiful Main Square where your expert guide will give you further explanation on the Cathedral. Your tour will continue to Regocijo Square and San Francisco Convent while learning new aspects of Cusco history. The next stop will be the vibrant San Pedro Market, a cheerful local market where will be show around the various stalls, while your knowledgeable guide will give you more details.
After the explanation, enjoy your free time to wonder around on your own. Take the opportunity to purchase some souvenirs for your loved ones at home.
By the evening, you will be escorted to the most fun experience as you join a small and intimate cooking class, along a team of chefs you will have a great opportunity to improve your cuisine skills as you cook delicious Peruvian plates while learning the gastronomy of the country, and while you enjoy refreshing Pisco Sours as well.
You will dine your delicious dishes, and when you have finish with the activity your View Peru representative will escort you back to your hotel.
After an exquisite breakfast at your hotel, our journey has finally come to an end, your View Peru representative will take you to the airport at the most suitable time according to your schedule in order for you to take the return flight home.
