Hike the exhilarating Salkantay trek reaching high elevations in the skies and down to the cloud forest visiting fruit and coffee plantations before reaching Aguas Calientes. Finally, come face to face with the almighty vision of Machu Picchu, and gasp at its perfect construction created by the Incas.

In the morning depart your hotel in Cusco with your guide and group or in private en route to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Enjoy the beautiful vistas of the precious Sacred Valley of Peru, surrounded by the impressive Andes Mountains. Continue to the Inca Pisac archeological site surrounded by many terraces built on the side of the hilltop, for a stroll on the top trail of the ruins to catch impressive views of the Sacred Valley, Sun Temple, and water channels below. Then continue to the colorful Pisac handicraft market to wander about the many stalls, where you can pick up some lovely souvenirs for your family and friends. Our next stop will be in Urubamba to relax and have a delicious Peruvian lunch. After lunch, we will drive to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo for a tour of the spectacular archeological site of many terraces, and temples, facing the town. Following a fantastic time, we proceed to Chinchero for a visit to the ruins and to appreciate the surreal vistas of the fabulous landscapes. Return to Cusco around 7:00 pm.

A very early morning departure from your hotel in Cusco, escorted by your professional guide in private transport and drive for 3.5 hours, towards the start of the thrilling Salkantay Trek. We will pass the village of Mollepata (3000 mt.) and continue to Soraypampa (3400 mt.), where we begin our adventure trek to Machu Picchu. Meet your professional staff and wrangler with horses that will carry the camp equipment and your backpacks. The trek begins winding through an amazing valley with overwhelming panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and surroundings for more than 200 minutes. We will appreciate the spectacular snow peaks of Salkantay (6271 mt..), and Humantay (5817mt..). Finally, we reach Salkantaypampa (4154 mt.), where you can relax and enjoy our exquisite lunch, which will be waiting for us. After lunch, we will continue hiking for another 2.5 hours towards our campsite, Soyrococha (4480mt), where you will relax, unwind and have a wonderful dinner. After dinner, enjoy the scenery and sleep comfortably, like a baby under the sparkling stars.

With an energizing breakfast, we will continue our escapades of a challenging day ahead of us. Hike for 1.5 hours going uphill towards the Salkantay Pass (4638 mt..), and be welcomed by the Salkantay Mountain (6271 mt.) and its stunning landscapes. Congratulate yourself on this great achievement. Then descend for 3.5 hours until you reach our lunch place. Next, we`ll take the 4 hours path to the campsite, hiking for 4 more hours featuring interesting sites such as Andenes and Chaullay, home to colorful wild orchids, bromeliads, and other flora species. Finally, we will reach our campsite at Collpapampa campsite (2870 mt.) in the cloud forest. Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our cook. Make sure to use lots of insect repellent, because there are many mosquitos here that are ready to feed on you. Rest and sleep in nature accompanied by warm weather.

After a nourishing breakfast, to get you ready for the 5 hours hike through the most beautiful day of the trek, where you will admire the magnificent flora and sprawling plantations. Our hike will keep descending into a thick cloud forest that will surround us with orchids, bromelains, and other amazing and exotic flora. Come upon a secluded valley filled with expansive coffee, cacao, and fruit plantations. During this journey, we will pass through the farming villages of Wiñaypoco (2650 mt.) and Lluscamayo (2420 mt.) that own plantations of diverse products. On our path, we will encounter some local families and have the possibility to peek into their lifestyles. We will have lunch at La Playa (2100 mt.) before continuing on to our campsite at Lucmabamba. Our cook will prepare a succulent dinner to celebrate our last night together along with the staff. Sleep soundly on this warm night.

Start the day with a succulent breakfast at proximately 05:00 am to energize you. Proceeding with the trail, we will take 20 mins driving to Lucmabamba (2062 mt.), where an authentic Inca trail awaits you! This 3.5 hours uphill trail towards the Llactapata ruins (2736 mt..) is almost fully covered by endemic vegetation. Once we reach the site we will admire a side of the Machu Picchu citadel. Then, have a lovely lunch with exceptional views at the Llaqtapata Lodge Viewpoint (2570 mt..). Delight yourself with a homemade meal and take in breathtaking views of Veronica Mountain, Vilcanota River, and more. Afterward, head down for another 2 hours to Hydroelectric train station (1771 mt.), where we will have time for a short rest and optional board our train to Aguas Calientes for approx. 45 mins. or continue hiking to Aguas Calientes town for another 2 hours. Finally, we will reach Aguas Calientes town (2070 mt.) with your guide and walk to your hotel to refresh and relax.

Early in the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to catch the shuttle bus up to the citadel, for 30 mins. ride. A divine sight of the impressive Machu Picchu citadel (2430 mt.) will definitely be worth all the effort. Our knowledgeable guide will tell us about the magnificent theories about the purpose, history, and mystery of Machu Picchu pf Peru. Once you have fully relished in its beauty and taken many perfect photos, we exit the park. Optional: If you are up to it, hike the steep climb to the top of Huayna Picchu for spectacular views. Otherwise, return to Aguas Calientes, to have lunch on your own. Later take the train to the Poroy station where our View Latin Representative will collect you in our private vehicle and take you to your hotel in Cusco.
After a wholesome breakfast at your hotel, the adventure has finally come to an end, your View Peru representative will take you to the airport at the most convenient time in order to take your flight to Lima.
