DAY 1: LIMA ARRIVAL
Upon your arrival a View Peru representative will be awaiting to welcome you at the city of kings, from the airport you will be transfer to your hotel. On the way to the hotel the representative will review your itinerary and will be gladly answering to any question you may have. The rest of the day will be for you to enjoy of the city at your leisure.
DAY 2:WELCOME TO CUSCO
After breakfast at your hotel you will be transfer at the most suitable time for you to take your flight to Cusco. Once you have arrived at the Incas land, a View Peru representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. On the way, your itinerary will be review one last time and your questions answered in case you may have them. The rest of the day is for you to adjust to the higher altitude of Cusco and relax at your leisure.
DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY (B, L)
After enjoying your breakfast, we will pick you up to and head towards the precious Sacred Valley, as we visit the archaeological ruins of Pisaq and then follow the Urubamba river as we move towards the Ollantaytambo fortress, surrendered by the mountains of the valley creating breathtaking landscapes, besides the impressive Inca ruins and the genius explaining of your guide.
After lunch, you will be taken to the Ollantaytambo Train Station for you to catch your train to Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu town, the rest of the evening we recommend you to explore this small and cheerful city.
DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU (B)
The highlight of our journey has come and today we rise early to be take the bus that leads to Machu Picchu entrance. The bus takes about 30 min to reach our destination and you along your group will be ready to explore this amazing citadel. As you make your way inside you will understand that every corner is full of history about the Inca empire, lose yourself between every wall and every stone perfectly put together that as a whole comprehends the citadel one of new the seven wonders.
After you have finished your guided tour, you will have time to enjoy of Machu Picchu on your own, you can choose to walk towards the Sun Temple or if you wish take you can choose to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain to earn a more panoramic view, or you can also hike up the Machu Picchu Mountain to enjoy its beauty from above which is usually less crowded, please consider that these hikes are unguided and require an additional cost if this takes your interest consult with your travel specialist as we need to check availability in advance.
When you have finished your visit, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes at the most opportune time, therefore you can choose a restaurant to have lunch before the departure of your train.
By the afternoon you will board the Train that will take you back to Ollantaytambo and then you will be transfer to your hotel back in Cusco for a well-deserved night of good sleep.
DAY 5: HUMANTAY LAKE (B, L)
After you have enjoyed breakfast, we will pick you up very early from your hotel, we will drive for about 2 hours until we reach Mollepata Village, there you will be served breakfast. Then will start our way towards Soraypampa, where the first that will catch our attention will be the impressive presence of the Apus: Salkantay and Humantay.
The hike takes about two hours to get to the Lake but we assure you it will be worth it as we walk in a moderate pace, the amazing views of emerald waters and the snowcapped mountains will be enough to elevate the experience. Be aware that is possible to rent a horse, if you are not in mood of walking to the lake. Make the most of your time and take beautiful pictures before we start descending. In Soraypampa a rewarding lunch will await you and later will have time to return back to Cusco for you to rest for next adventure ahead.
DAY 6: CUSCO CITY TOUR & NEARBY RUINS (B )
Today after enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will enjoy of the morning free at your leisure. We will pick you up by the early afternoon to start with your city tour. We will firstly stop at the Sun Temple Qoricancha, an impressive construction that was built with religious proposes during the Inca apogee. Following with the tour we will visit the Plaza de Armas of Cusco (the main square) where our guide will be deepening the information about the construction and history behind the Cathedral and its beautiful architecture. After a short drive up the outskirts of Cusco, we will be visiting the impressive Inca complex of Sacsayhuaman. As you cross its massive opening that will leave in awe, your guide will explain that this site was built for the Incas using rocks weighing up to 180 tons and that they manage to fitted them perfectly. The next stop is another mysterious site named Qenqo which means labyrinth. This site is a very interesting as is a rocky construction that is hides subterranean passages in its interior, this was also a ceremonial place where the Incas used to possibly embalm their death.
Our last stops will be visiting Tambomachay and Puka Pukara lookout point. When the tour has finished we will drive you back to your hotel. The rest of the day is for you to enjoy at your leisure and perhaps wonder around this mystic city.
DAY 7: CUSCO – PUNO (B, L)
After enjoying breakfast, your representative will be taking you to the bus station where you will take your touristic coach to Puno. This amazing ride will enchant you from the beginning as you will cross the Altiplano, which is a wide plateau located a very high altitude that covers part of Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile.
During your ride, the coach will make four stops along the way. Firstly, at Andahuaylillas where you will visit the small chapel well known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” Follow by the Raqchi or Temple of Wiracocha it’s a giant construction measured on 92mt or 302ft.
By the afternoon, another stops await us for lunch this time and then we will continue the highest point La Raya (4319masl) for you to take amazing pictures of the never ending landscape. Once you have arrived at Puno you will be taken to your hotel to enjoy and relax for the rest of the night at your leisure.
DAY 8: LAKE TITICACA (B, L)
The day starts bright and early today, as we will pick you up after you have enjoyed your delicious breakfast to take you to the port for you to start with a complete tour in Lake Titicaca. The lake is absolutely famous since is the highest navigable in the world, also it has an unmeasurable value as it has been sacred for thousands of years and even there is a legend that suggest that the Inca empire was found there.
Firstly, our tour will take us to the Uros island, where still lives a community that moved first to avoid conflicts between other communities on the shores. The Uros community lives in floating islands made entirely of Totora reeds that will only be of 30 to 40cm thick, an amazing thing to see. Some of the members will show you around and explain more of how the build their homes and later on you will be taken on a short trip in a traditional reed boat.
As our tour follows, we will head toward the island of Taquile, and as soon as we land there you will be warmly welcome by the locals in their beautiful traditional costumes and you will be shown around and have the opportunity to appreciate how skilled weavers they are. By the afternoon you will also enjoy of a delicious lunch made out of products that grows in the island. As the late afternoon approaches, this heartwarming experience must finish and we will head back to the port and then you will be taken to your hotel to rest for the day.
DAY 9: PUNO, COPACABANA AND LA PAZ (B)
Today after you have enjoyed of a wholesome breakfast, you will be taken to the bus station to take the coach that will take you towards Copacabana. Once you arrive we will visit the famous Sun Virgins Temple and moon islands, later you will once again board your coach with direction to La Paz. At your arrival a representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in La Paz, the rest of the afternoon is for you to explore at your leisure.
DAY 10: LA PAZ CITY TOUR
Today, you will be picked up at your hotel for your city tour of this bustling, quintessential South American city. We will tour around the famous Witch´s Market, where you will see vendors selling natural, ancient remedies and more. Continuing with the tour, you will see the Plaza Murillo where are located buildings such as: The Cathedral, Government Palace, and National Congress buildings. Stroll on the famous colonial street Jaen, where various museums are clustered, and later pay a visit at the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture. As we start travelling into modern La Paz, the tour will take you to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto, and La Florida.
Our last stop will be the Moon Valley, where you will have the chance to walk amongst these unique monoliths. The landscape appears as dramatic and was created after centuries of the wind causing erosion in the mountains until they become strange looking rock formations.
By the evening you will be taken to the bus terminal to catch the overnight Todo Turismo bus to Uyuni.
DAY 11: UYUNI SALT FLATS (B, L, D)
You will arrive to Uyuni very early in the morning, you will have enough time to enjoy breakfast as your tour will start around 10:30 am approx. The Uyuni Salt Flats (3663 mts/12017.7 ft) are the biggest one in the world, it covers an area of more than 10,500 square kilometers. On our way. On these adventure of 2 days you we will be visiting the train cemetery with trains abandoned in 1940’s after the collapse of the mining industry in Uyuni.
The tour then will make a stop in Colchani a very small town where locals sell their crafted products made mainly out of salt. A few meters from here the expansive salt flat begin, we will have endless opportunities to take amazing photos in the way.
From the various and well known spots we will visit the salt pyramids and the famous hotel made of salt and later make our way towards the “island” of Incawasi, this island rock outcrop of the vast salt is the top of an ancient volcano that was once covered by the lake. This peculiar island features giant cactus and intricate rock formations in which there are still fossil remains. As our tour continues we will head to the small town of Coqueza.

DAY 12: COQUESA – UYUNI
Today we must rise early to continue with our tour and keep watching the amazing sunrise over the salt flats. After your breakfast in Coquesa we will visit a fascinating museum of stone animals. And then we will head towards the nearby Tunupa Volcano, that lays impressive surrounded by whiteness.
As we hike up we will be able to see the mummies of the volcano laying there. These naturally mummified people were hiding in a cave during a volcanic eruption a few hundred years ago but couldn’t escape the toxic smoke.
After a wholesome lunch in Coquesa we must return to Uyuni, where you will have will have the rest of the afternoon to relax, by the evening you will take the bus back to La Paz.

DAY 13: LA PAZ
Early in morning you will arriving at La Paz and you will transfer to your hotel. This day will be for you to recover after the long ride and to enjoy at your leisure of this peculiar city.
Note: Check in time at hotels from 1200 – 1400pm. If you need to have an available room request for another night in La Paz hotels.
DAY 14: FAREWELL LA PAZ (B)
Today, after your breakfast, a View Peru representative will take you to La Paz airport at the most suitable time according to your schedule in order for you to take your return flight home.
